Eddie

Hutton-Mills

Award winning documentary filmmaker telling stories about power, identity, culture and the people who shape history. My work spans most factual spaces from current affairs to feature documentaries. Combining cinematic visual storytelling with deep access and a strong humanitarian perspective. Recent films include the Grierson and BIFA nominated feature documentary Kanaval, the BBC One documentary P Diddy: The Rise and Fall, and Fighting the Power: Britain After George Floyd.

As a Black British filmmaker, I am drawn to stories that challenge assumptions, amplify overlooked voices and reveal the human stories behind the headlines. I am currently part of the BAFTA Elevate 2024 to 2026 programme and own a full cinematic camera package (Sony FX9 & A7S3), enabling me to develop, direct and self shoot ambitious documentaries for broadcasters, streamers and brands in the UK and internationally.
